The Taiwan government encourages people to actively support public welfare through tax incentives. Tax law also provides special preferential measures for taxpayers who make financial donations to charitable and public welfare causes.
According to Article 17 of the Income Tax Act, when filing income tax, taxpayers who choose to itemize deductions may deduct donations made during the year to educational, cultural, public welfare, charitable institutions, or organizations from their consolidated gross income.
You can visit the Ministry of Finance eTax Portal to learn more about tax-related information.
