Education & Outreach

Education is the core power that changes the world

A smile is the universal language of the world

When one person dreams, it is merely wishful thinking; when a group of people dreams, it is the pursuit of an ideal.
To help the public better understand the work of Red Nose Doctors, we continue to use diverse education and outreach programs so that participants not only learn about Red Nose Doctors
who accompany others with humor and empathy, but also, through the sharing of different stories, convey diverse life inspirations and moving experiences. In this way, the Red Nose spirit of bringing laughter to others and to ourselves can spread.

Outreach Projects

Performance Program for Gatherings of Children with Rare Diseases

Red Nose Doctors deeply understand the hardship and love shouldered by families of children with rare diseases and multiple disabilities. We also see that many families of children with special needs independently organize gatherings, inviting the children to leave home and the hospital and come together in a safe and familiar environment, while enabling caregivers to accompany and encourage one another.

At these gatherings organized by families of children with special needs, Red Nose Doctors welcome applications from such gatherings throughout Taiwan and provide free, professional, tailor-made interactive clown performances. This is not an ordinary performance, but a small gathering filled with gentleness, flexibility, and a sense of safety.

With flexibility, safety, and respect at the core, we adjust the pace and distance according to the children’s conditions. We hope every child, even with physical limitations, can participate comfortably and smile freely, experiencing through companionship the strength of being understood and finding renewed energy.

Educational Lectures

Become your own light, and then become a light for others

Clown doctors share life stories from hospital wards, encouraging children and the public to view the world with gentleness, learn to respect and empathize with others, extend warm hands to embrace life and themselves, and face the people and things around them with a positive, open attitude—becoming their own light and then becoming a light for others.

Based on the diversity of our audiences, we organize Red Nose Doctors–related activities, including short talks on specific topics, school lectures, parent-child lectures, corporate lectures, life education lectures, seminars, and more. If you are interested in or would like to collaborate on an outreach lecture, please feel free to contact Red Nose Doctors. We can design and plan the most suitable outreach lecture according to different needs.

Helping Workshops

A Helping Workshop Designed for Helpers

We deeply understand the tension and hardship experienced by healthcare teams and helping professionals in their work. Through ongoing workshops, we help helping professionals recharge emotionally. From the perspective of professional performing arts, Red Nose Doctors share their experiences accompanying patients in medical settings and interacting with children, helping frontline helping professionals learn how to listen and practice empathic distance, incorporate humor and play into their work, and build warmer, more joyful relationships with the people they serve, making every interaction more responsive to the individual and lending a helping hand to healthcare teams and helping professionals!

A Workshop Designed for Family Members

When a family member becomes ill, relatives (long-term caregivers) face a range of physical and emotional pressures, from challenges in providing care and disputes over the division of family responsibilities to financial burdens and the accumulation of suppressed emotions. Without appropriate adjustment and emotional release, these pressures may lead to physical and psychological symptoms, as well as increasingly negative emotions and thoughts. We design exclusive workshops for these caregivers, using relaxing and engaging physical activities and warm exchanges to release stress and restore balance in body and mind.

One-Time Performances for Medical and Care Institutions

Caring laughter with no blind spots!

We hope Red Nose Doctors can reach more medical institutions and more cities, counties, and townships, bringing warmth and laughter to more minds strained by illness and treatment and helping them relax. Although resources are limited and we cannot provide regular, fixed, long-term performances at individual locations, we hope that multiple Red Nose Doctors touring performances can spread the power and seeds of laughter and promote greater social attention to and appreciation of compassionate healthcare and holistic care.
