For this Children’s Day tour, we visited three hospitals in Hsinchu and unexpectedly discovered that our audience was not just children.
At a performance at a hospital in Hsinchu, an elderly man stopped, hesitated for a moment, and then accepted our invitation to sit in the front row. At first, he simply watched with curiosity, but not long after the performance began, he was already laughing out loud—even laughing until tears came to his eyes.
Thinking back on that moment afterward, I thought to myself—if this was his first encounter with a Dr. Red Nose, what a wonderful twist of fate it was!
This performance made me understand even more clearly that our work is not limited to children. Whether they are children, parents, medical staff, or even strangers who happen to stop by, when laughter arises, what we share is not merely a performance, but a connection that touches the heart without the need for words.
Being able to put on a red nose, stand on this stage, and be surrounded by people at different stages of life’s journey—laughing together, sharing the moment, and creating beautiful memories—is an incomparable experience.
Perhaps our performances cannot change the world, but at the very least, they can make someone’s day different from the one before. ❤️
